  • James L. Harner's Literary Research Guide: An Annotated Listing of Reference Sources in English Literary Studies is the most authoritative guide for scholars and librarians of literatures in English. It identifies and evaluates handbooks, bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopedias, databases, periodicals, and websites for English literature of Great Britain, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, America, and other locations. It covers all genres.
    • The Literary Research Guide appears only in print.
    • Berry Library's copy is located in the Reference Room.  
  • It it's helpful, English Library Liaison Nancy Dennis owns a copy of the Literary Research Guide that she would be happy to consult for reference questions during the pandemic, when travel to Berry Library is not feasible.
