IDEA Den

A guide for the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness Den on the 1st floor of the library - a place for contemplation & discovery

Mission Statement

The Salem State University Library welcomes multiple and varied voices to our diverse community. Our intent with this space and guide is to offer a starting point in cultural competency, which is indispensable for a rich educational experience and free exchange of ideas. We acknowledge that libraries have historically failed in appreciating the diversity that makes our communities strong, and we are committed to working beyond these shortcomings. The varying resources showcased here offer an inclusive and supportive space to facilitate active conversation and learning opportunities.
