September brings the excitement of a new semester and the stress that goes with this. This month the IDEA Den is focused on the value of having a strong sense of self and a routine of self care.
According to Psychology Today: Developing a strong sense of self is "a lifelong project figuring out who you are, what you value, and what is important to you." More info
The National Institute of Mental Health defines self care as: "Self-care means taking the time to do things that help you live well and improve both your physical health and mental health. When it comes to your mental health, self-care can help you manage stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy. Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact." More info
