Open Educational Resources: Finding OER

A guide for faculty to assist with finding and adopting quality Open Educational Resources that help reduce the cost of course materials for students

Introduction

This page includes links to several types of Open Educational Resources, such as freely available e-textbooks and freely available online course content. It also points to resources like Lumen Learning which works through our campus bookstore (run by Follett) to embed lower-cost materials within your Canvas course website.

Go the evaluating OER for quality checklist for best practices on what to look for when evaluating materials.

Please see the Library Resources page for more about library collections that you can use as course materials.
