Making sense of the information explosion

Question #2:

  • Find three peer-reviewed articles (study, essay, review) on any topic/theme/problem within your field (current major or major in which you are interested if you are undeclared).
  • Access the full-text of the articles.
    • Download the article.
    • Print it out to bring to class.
  • Make a bibliography of the three articles' bibliographical information using one of  following style formats; APA, MLA, or Chicago.
    • Be sure to arrange the items in alphabetical order by authors' last names.
  • Submit the file of the bibliography to Canvas.
  • Bring the print copy of the article to class so that you can refer to it during our discussion.

What are you asked to do?

  • Find three scholarly articles related to a topic in your major or field of interest. 
  • Make sure you select articles in which the full-texts (the entire article, not just an abstract) are available.
    • These can appear in PDFs or HTML formats.
  • Download the article, save it to your computer, and print it out to bring to class on the appropriate day.
  • Make a short bibliography of your three articles using one of the following style formats: APA, MLA, or Chicago.
  • Submit the bibliography to Canvas.
