Explanation

  • I recommend searching in the Academic Search Complete database.
  • Once I search with key words, I first place three limits on the results:
    • full text 
    • a date range
    • scholarly or academic journals or peer-reviewed articles
  • I then examine some citations. For particularly helpful articles, I click on the "SUBJECT" descriptor to narrow my search further.

Let's take a look:

 

Academic Search Complete Database

  • Go to the Berry Library home page:
    • http://www.salemstate.edu/library
  • Find the heading "Alphabetical List of Databases."
    • Click "Go"
  • You will see a list of "Popular Databases."
    • Academic Search Complete is at the top of the list. 
      • Click it.
