What is Class Section Tagging?: An Overview

"Class section tagging" refers to the process of assigning a specific identifier (or "tag") to a class offering within a university. These tags help offer additional information in the course registration system about a specific section. They help differentiate between multiple offerings of the same course—such as different instructors, times, locations, instructional formats (e.g., online vs. in-person), content, or cost of textbooks.
