HELPING ABUSE WORKING FOR CHANGE

HAWC

HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change) strives to help abused women, children, men, and nonbinary people live free from violence and fear. As a leading domestic violence agency in Massachusetts, HAWC provides a domestic violence helpline, emergency shelter, legal services, advocacy and counseling services to more than 2,500 families in the North Shore area each year.

YWCA RAPE CRISIS CENTER

The YWCA North Shore Rape Crisis Center provides services to all sexual assault survivors aged 12 and  older and their non-offending family members and partners. We welcome all survivors regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, economic status, or legal status. All of our services are free and confidential.  With our sister site locations [Lawrence and Haverhill] we serve more than 15,000 survivors each year, including women, children and families from throughout the Merrimack Valley and Essex County.

JANE DOE, INC.

As the only statewide membership sexual and domestic violence coalition in Massachusetts, Jane Doe Inc. (JDI) has a unique role in working to promote the safety, liberty, and dignity of victims and survivors. Drawing from the experiences of our members and our relationships with other partners.

STOP HANDGUN VIOLENCE

Stop Handgun Violence (SHV) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1994 by successful businessman, John Rosenthal, and the late Michael Kennedy. SHV works to prevent firearm violence through public awareness, education, policy advocacy and law enforcement strategies – without banning guns.
