Individual Library Databases

  • Though Discovery Search can get you started, it's a good idea to search in specific databases related to your book and/or paper theme.
  • Berry Library provides access to over 350 databases in many different subjects.
    • Usually a database links to the full-text of an article you want to read, but occasionally, it does not. This is due to licensing rights.
    • If you want to read an article or book that are not in Berry Library, have no fear! Submit an Interlibrary Loan Request and the Library will get the item from a lending library. This is the link:

The Alphabetical Database Link

  • At the Library home page (www.salemstate.edu/library), click on the link "Databases - Browse Alphabetical List:"

Scan Databases in Your Subject

  • Using the Drop Down menu, select your subject area.
  • You will be given a list of databases by subject, with brief descriptions.
  • Click on ones that interest you and begin searching.
