Let's Talk: Asian Representation in Literature 

Come and join the Asian Student Association and Center for Justice and Liberation in a discussion with Loan Le, Vietnamese-American author of "A Pho Love Story". Find out more about "A Pho Love Story" and Loan Le's upbringing, and thoughts on the importance of Asian Representation in Literature.

APIDA Heritage Month: Representing Authors and Culture with TeachingBooks

Hosted by Jill Coste, PhD., TeachingBooks, and Book Connections, this hands-on webinar will introduce you to the resources on TeachingBooks that complement Salem State Library's collection of AAPI books for children and young adults. You'll learn how you can use multimedia materials such as author interviews, discussion guides, book trailers, and more to enrich critical engagement with these texts. This session will cover the following: Book and Author Resources, Customized Reading Lists, and AAPI-specific Awards.

Cooking Mama: Boba Edition 

Join the Asian Student Association and Center for Justice and Liberation as we delve into the history of boba and its impact in America - with none other than our very own ASA board member, Erika Pen! All participants will receive a Boba DIY kit so they can follow along with Erika right in the comfort of their own homes. Be sure to sign up and join Erika as she goes step by step in showing us how to prepare the perfect bubble tea.
