JSTOR Text Analyzer combines features of text analysis and database searching to expand search results.
Since Text Analyzer is still in Beta test mode, it has glitches. Road Test #1 shows the limitations of Text Analyzer.
To try Text Analyzer, go to the JSTOR database. (You just clicked on the permalink to JSTOR. If you are searching from off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your SSU user name and password to establish that you are a member of the SSU community).
Find Text Analyzer on the link just below the main JSTOR search box. There is a red "Beta" box next to it:
Text Analyzer only appears on the main JSTOR search box.
It does not appear on any other search box.
So, if you find an article you want to input, save the article to your computer.
Then, toggle back to the first JSTOR screen to use Text Analyzer.
Text Analyzer will prompt you to upload your document from your computer.
