Faculty Guide to Credo Instruct at SSU

A guide for SSU Faculty for using Credo Instruct in their classes

Adding Instruct Links to an LMS

Links to the material in Credo Instruct can be added to your learning management system (LMS)--the online teaching system you use, such as Blackboard, Canvas, etc. Students will be able to access the material directly from the LMS, with no need for any extra log-in information. When they take a test or quiz via the LMS, their grade will sync directly to the LMS gradebook.

Once your library has completed the one-time set-up that allows your LMS to recognize Credo as a tool provider, you can use what are called "LTI links" to add Instruct material to your class. The LTI links are available from your library. Below are instructions for embedding material in the most commonly used LMSs. For further information please see our help site. If you use an LMS that is not listed here, your library can get instructions for embedding to that system from

Instruct URLs for Canvas

Adding the LTI link as an Assignment will create a gradebook column for this item. This option should be used with test and quiz links so that the students' scores sync directly to the Canvas gradebook.

Adding the LTI link directly to a Module as an external tool URL will not create a gradebook column. This option should be used with video and tutorial links, since these content types are ungraded.
