Off-Campus Access to Library Resources

Off-Campus Access to Library Resources:
Use your Salem State network/wireless/email network user name and password to log into library resources (such as CINAHL). All resources are available through the library's web page:

Don't know your user name and password?
Students - please see IT's page for: Student password reset.
Faculty/Staff - connect to Polaris to reset your password.

Note: All password resets may be done on and off-campus and do not require access to the Salem State wireless network.

What is RefWorks?

RefWorks is a tool you can use to manage citations and create bibliographies in APA style and even share information with colleagues.

RefWorks is available through the library's homepage: . In the center portion of the screen, under Documenting Your Research Click on RefWorks.

Establish an Account

You have to have an account to use RefWorks. To get one, click sign up for a new account on the opening page of RefWorks and fill out the requested information.

If you are working from off-campus, you will need your SSU wireless/email login to access RefWorks. You might also need the RefWorks Group Code for Salem State. If you don't have it, email Nancy George (see profile for email info) using your Salem State email account.
