The Flint Water Crisis: Searching for Social Justice in a First Year Composition Course

NELIG Instruction Swap Dec. 9, 2016 presentation by Cathy Fahey

Why use Google Forms?

  • Free
  • Easy to set up
  • No extra step for students (don't need cellphone, clickers, etc)
  • Anonymous for students
  • No limits on the number of respondants

Useful tools to use with Google Forms

Aspect Ratio Calculator - to keep the ratio of the form consistent across different screens. Really useful for squeezing content into LibGuides boxes.

WordClouds.com - Word cloud generator.

Google Forms and I-Frames

A Google Form is a website, and to embed it into a LibGuide box, or to put it on another website, like a Wordpress installation, use iframes html code (Send via < > )

Copy the iframe code and paste it into your web page editor. Make sure you're using the plain text option, and not the rich text option!

If you're embedding an iframe in LibGuides, you'll have to change the width to be slightly narrower than column width, so the form doesn't overhang.
