The microfilm reader MUST be turned on BEFORE the desktop. If you turn them on in the wrong order, the desktop will not recognize the microfilm reader.
If you have turned the computer on first, save whatever work you can and shut down the computer.
Turn the microfilm reader on, then the desktop computer, then proceed with your scanning.
