Downloading EBSCO Ebooks

Go to the Evergreen library catalog website and search for the book you want. Make sure to choose "Salem State University Library" from the "Library" pulldown menu. 

Click on "Access for Salem State University via EBSCOHost" 

To view the whole ebook as a PDF, one page at a time in your web browser, click  PDF Full Text (#1).

To download the ebook and read it offline, click "Download This eBook (Offline)" (#2)

To read a particular chapter or section, click on it in the Table of Contents (#3)

The Table of Contents expands to show chapter headings. 

Here's one page. Navigate via the arrows on the bottom of the page. 

If you want to print a page, or email it to yourself, follow the navigation links on the left hand size of the page. 

Chooes "This Section" to send yourself one chapter as a PDF. 

If you want to borrow the book to read offline,  click "Download This eBook (Offline)"

You'll need to sign in to a MyEBSCO account or create a new one. 

When you're signed in, you'll be able to download the book for 7 days. 

The file will be saved to your computer's default download location with a filename of "URLLink.acsm"

To read the ebook on a PC or Mac, you need to download Adobe Digital Editions and create an Adobe Digital Editions Account. 

Open Adobe Digital Editions, and clikc on File--> Add to Library

In the file choice window that pops up navigate to the folder where your ebook downloaded. Change the box in the lower right corner from E-Books.... Adobe Content Server Message. Choose the file you want to add. 

Your ebook will open, and the file will be readable for 7 days.
